Amman-Jordan, April 15, 2004 – FreightDesk Technologies (McLean, VA) and Telaterra Software (Amman, Jordan) signed a Teaming Agreement today to offer a Port Community Management Efficiency and Security solution in Jordan. The agreement was signed during a US trade mission visit to Jordan organized by the Jordanian Information Technology Association (int@j) and the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), in association with Jordan's Embassy to the United States. The trade mission was held in Jordan on April 12-14 2004, and included meetings with King Abdullah, various government ministries, and the Jordanian technology community. The partnership’s goal is to enable ports throughout the region to comply with US and global standards for exporting shipments to the US and other major trading countries. Both companies will initially concentrate on achieving solutions for the Jordanian trade community to help accomplish HM King Abdullah II’s goal of making Jordan a gateway for Middle East trade. Further meetings with the freight forwarding, shipping, and trade communities will shape the approach to meet both US and global trade security concerns, and bring new decision tools and efficiency to the growing Jordanian trade community. Implementation of advanced software solutions will improve critical supply chain visibility, transparency, and decision making; all of which are crucial for the entire stakeholder community involved in Jordanian trade.
